Suede isn't always easy to take care of because it doesn't have a finish and can stain easily. But it feels so good to wear that everybody has to have a little suede in their life.

If you waterproof suede when it is new and clean and have a professional suede brush to clean out any dust and dirt and a shampoo to clean it when necessary it will look good for a long time.

  • Lincoln EZ Cleaner : This is a shampoo for your suede. Apply cleaner with clean cloth or sponge. Shampoo soiled area, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.
  • Suede Brush: Brushing the suede raises the nap and removes dust and dirt from the suede.

  • Suede Eraser : Gently rub one of the coarse sides of the eraser back and forth over the spot or area to be cleaned. For touch spots, rub harder, allowing the eraser to crumble.
  • Not included but here is a little hint. If you have a real stubborn stain or a shiny spot on the suede you can use a small piece of 151 grit sandpaper to work on the suede. Use it lightly to bring up the knap, an old shoe repairmen's trick.

  • The Meltonian Water and Stain Protector is for waterproofing suede. Will protect the suede and does not change the color. Some water proofers can darken suede. Now in a new larger sized can: 7.7oz.

Care and Cleaning of UGG Boots
The popularity of UGG boots has really taken off in the last decade. Taking care of UGGs is not as easy as polishing your shoes because UGGs are made of sheepskin and have to be cleaned like suede.

The best plan is to waterproof to protect them as best as possible from the elements.

The Meltonian Water and Stain Protector. is a great product because it will protect the sheepskin without darkening the upper but, as with all leather care products, always test on an inconspicuous area just to be sure. If there is surface dirt or dust brush with a suede brush or nylon brush first and then spray upper evenly.

If your UGGs need to be cleaned you can use the Lincoln EZ Cleaner.. It is a mild leather and suede shampoo that can be diluted with warm water.

First brush the boots with a suede brush to remove surface dirt, use a suede eraser for any stains. Wet down the boots with a wet cloth, shampoo with the EZ cleaner on a sponge using a circular motion to clean the boot doing the entire upper. When finished cleaning, use the wet cloth again to rinse off the cleaning solution with clean water. Stuff boots with newspaper or a bootshaper to keep their shape and allow to dry away from direct heat. When dry, brush again gently with the suede brush and this is when you can waterproof them again.
